SONGWRITING AND MUSIC COMPOSITION

The ability and inspiration to create music is far more common than most people realize. I would go as far to say that it is a part of everyone with musical ability. At Dungeness Music Academy we incorporate musical creativity into all our lessons. For those who would like to take it to the next level, we offer composition lessons. Not only are students prepared and challenged in the creative process of making music, but we also offer the opportunity to create professional manuscripts of your music.

WRITING MUSIC: MORE THAN JUST FEEL-GOOD SOUND

Writing music can be thought of as putting music to words, or better yet, taking the life of one’s soul and creatively and intelligently setting it to sound. Music is more than just sound, it moves and grows over time, it changes and adapts–it has the power to explain and express something deep and mysterious about us!

FROM SIMPLE SONGS TO ADVANCED ORCHESTRATION

Our inspiration and motivation to write music varies widely and this is reflected in our diverse musical tastes. At Dungeness Music Academy you can learn to write simple and sweet choruses or improve your orchestration techniques as you approach your next symphonic composition. Explore your creativity with us!
